Toijala-knife is considered as one of the most beautiful knives. It is known that a family called Flink made the type of knife in question already in the 19th century in a town called Jämsä. At the end of the 19th century the Flinks moved to a town called Toijala, where most of Toijala-knives were made by just a few bladesmiths up to 1920's. The Flinks have changed their name later to Vahtera.
